The Public Health Institute in collaboration with the Joint Learning Network, Domestic Resource Mobilization Initiative, has organized a two-day workshop in mobilizing domestic resources for health in Sudan in Corinthia Hotel on the 30th of September and the 1st of October 2018. The workshop was funded by the World Bank group, and attended by more than 50 participants from across all states. The participants were Director Generals of State Ministries of Health, State Ministries of Finance, and National Health Insurance Fund, in addition to few participants from the federal level across these institutions. The Workshop was facilitated by Dr. Somil, Dr. Lydia, Aditi, and Dr. Alaa from the world Bank Group, and co-facilitated by technical staff from the PHI. A brief overview of the concepts of Domistic Resource Mobilization was presented, followed by practical training of methods to increase domestic resources for health across all states in Sudan.
